Third-party tracker data reported on Wednesday, 4 November showed global smartphone average selling prices at their highest for any single quarter in the third quarter. Unit volumes stayed soft while prices rose, which makes this a mix story rather than a demand recovery. Component inflation, led by memory, is now pushing prices up again on top of the premium-tier shift.
