Zipline Raises $1.5B at a $21.5B Valuation
Zipline closed a $1.5 billion round at a post-money valuation of about $21.5 billion on 5 November, nearly three times its January mark of $7.6 billion, with Paradigm, WCM and Layer Global leading and Uber, Tiger, Fidelity and ARK participating. Walmart signed a multi-year agreement adding 300 delivery points, and the company says it has flown 150 million commercial autonomous miles without a serious incident. Capital remains willing to pay a premium for automation that touches physical delivery, which is a different bet from software margins.
