Qianchuan Tightens Rules on AI-Assembled Creator Video
A help-centre update to Douyin’s Qianchuan advertising platform, dated 2 November, now requires that non-creator footage in an ad serve the creator’s main narrative rather than carry it, with synthetic segments allowed only as visual support. Third-party sampling found roughly 9% of live beauty creatives and 11% in consumer electronics mixing real and non-shot footage, some with the synthetic part leading. The rule does not ban generated content; it redefines what that footage is permitted to do, which shifts platform review from auditing words to auditing intent.
