Xiaomi Shows a Humanoid Working an Eight-Hour Shift
Xiaomi demonstrated a full-size humanoid, partly on a wheeled base, working an eight-hour shift in its EV factory sorting centre-console side panels in coordination with the production control system, in reporting from the Wuzhen summit on 4 November. The robot is built on Xiaomi-Robotics-1, pretrained on 100,000 hours of real robot data, with task success rising from 90.2% in March to 98% in July. Xiaomi did not publish total throughput, whether the success rate held across the full shift, or how often a person intervened — and those three omissions are the distance between a demonstration and a deployment.
