Google Pledges $17 Billion for a Wyoming Campus
Google announced on 5 November a $17 billion data centre in Laramie County, Wyoming — the state’s first — designed with 702MW of on-site natural gas fuel cells using Bloom Energy technology, carbon capture and sequestration, and an arrangement under which Google pays the full electricity cost under an AEP agreement. Each element answers a specific objection: the grid queue, the emissions ledger, and the local bill. That is a siting template, not just a project.
