Intel Puts 18A on Display at CIIE
The showcase marks Intel’s most advanced process node moving from technical validation toward product delivery.
At the ninth China International Import Expo, which opened in Shanghai on 5 November 2026, Intel displayed products built on its 18A process, including the third-generation Core Ultra, known as Panther Lake, and Xeon 6+, codenamed Clearwater Forest. Xeon 6+ is Intel’s first data-centre CPU on 18A, offering up to 288 efficiency cores and 576MB of level-three cache. The node uses RibbonFET gate-all-around transistors and PowerVia backside power delivery. Panther Lake itself launched in January 2026; CIIE is a showcase, not a launch.
