China Opens Anti-Dumping Case on EU Aramid Yarn
Beijing launched an anti-dumping probe into para-aramid filament yarn from the EU, opening a second case against European chemical imports the same day.
On 6 November 2026, China’s Ministry of Commerce opened an anti-dumping investigation into para-aramid filament yarn originating in the European Union, following an application filed on 12 October by two domestic producers. The dumping period runs from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026, and the injury period from 1 January 2023. A second case covers ethylidene norbornene. The ministry noted the EU has opened 16 trade-remedy investigations against Chinese goods in 2026, nearly double the prior year, with chemicals accounting for about 60%.
