A 15 November update lands alongside a correction: the reported full withdrawal of Pangu was a misreading.

Huawei Cloud will update its model-as-a-service platform on 15 November 2026 to release openPangu-2.1-Pro, a flagship model whose main improvement is code generation quality for ArkTS in native HarmonyOS application development, according to Caixin and other outlets citing company sources. Reporting states that Huawei Cloud has notified existing customers by text message and that earlier coverage claiming a complete withdrawal of Pangu was a misreading. The context: a 1 November notice said two earlier openPangu models would stop selling on 6 November and go offline on 30 November.
