Tencent Ships Hunyuan Hy4 With Vision for the First Time

Tencent released Hunyuan Hy4 on Wednesday, 4 November, its first model with visual understanding, positioned at the front of the open-weight field. Both financial and Hong Kong media reported the launch the same day. The release puts Tencent alongside Alibaba’s Qwen and DeepSeek in a three-way race, and the two numbers that will settle the ranking — open-weight downloads and independent benchmark reproduction — are not yet available.
