Gold Tops $4,000 Again as the STAR 50 Jumps 10%
Spot gold returned above $4,000 an ounce on Wednesday, 4 November and touched $4,030, up nearly 3% on the day, while the STAR 50 index rose more than 10% in a single session. A hedge being bought and risk appetite returning at the same time usually means money is moving between assets rather than leaving them. One caution before publication: an intraday decline of about 5% in the same index was reported earlier the same day, and the two figures are not reconciled in the sources.
